Temanggung Exports Coffee to Several Countries

TEMANGGUNG , Joglo Jateng-Coffee entrepreneurs in Temanggung Regency, Central Java export robusta and arabica coffee to several countries. Some of these countries include Egypt, Turkey, Kuwait, and Dubai.

The owner of CV Kwadungan Java Coffee (KJC) Zainal Arifin in Temanggung said, Sunday (12/25) his party sent two containers of coffee to Egypt. Each container contains 19.2 tons of coffee. "Tomorrow, Monday (today, ed.), we will export 18 tons of coffee to Iran for the first time," he said, Sunday (12/25).

He said that his party sent coffee directly to the destination country, not through intermediaries. "Regarding foreign coffee buyers, we are assisted by the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) Center Semarang," he said.

Zaenal said that last September, his party also exported coffee to Turkey. In fact, this month it should also send to that country, but his party is already full of orders and can only send early January 2023 to Turkey.

He said that the price of ose coffee exported to a number of countries is an average of IDR 40,000 per kilogram.

In addition, when participating in the 2022 International Trade Expo Indonesia exhibition in Bumi Serpong Damai City Tangerang with "Kopi Berteman" some time ago, his party received an order from the Netherlands. "In January 2023 we sent it to the Netherlands under the name of Kopi Berteman which is now a cooperative. The shipment to the Netherlands in the initial stage requested 1 ton and the second month requested 10 tons," he said.
